The International Institute of Development and Transformation Cooperation (IIDTC) is a registered international non-governmental non-profit organization in the public register of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic.
This institute operates as a public benefit organization under Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended, and was established in accordance with the legal framework of the Czech Republic. Its foundation complies with regulations applicable within the Czech Republic and the European Union, while also adhering to internationally recognized legal standards in the non-profit sector and public benefit activities.
We are a group of people from several countries who want to be involved in global sustainable development, transformation cooperation or humanitarian aid, etc.
We are dedicated to projects that benefit public society and will be around for future generations.
It’s not just about helping. It’s about the meaning of living. We cannot, with our consciousness, pass this world on to the next generation as long as there are wars, injustices, violations of human rights and freedoms, poverty, hunger, inequality, and if people do not have the basic necessities of life, that we take as a normal part of our lives today in Central Europe, for example, but are not available at all elsewhere in the world.
Our Institute was founded from three organizations that were dedicated to different activities. Our large amount of activities doesn’t affect our efficiency or quality, because our working groups have experienced managers and skilled people in the different fields they are involved in. After our establishment we decided to expand our activities to Ukraine because of the ongoing war.
The founder’s family tradition and the urge to help are probably the reasons for the establishment of the Institute. The earliest family legend dates from World War II. The founder’s great-grandfather, Elias Chalachan, was a janitor at an elementary school in Snina, Slovakia, where he hid partisans during World War II.
