WHAT
WE DO
We are a group of people from several countries who want to be involved in global sustainable development, transformation cooperation or humanitarian aid, etc.
We are dedicated to projects that benefit public society and will be around for future generations.
It’s not just about helping. It’s about the meaning of living. We cannot, with our consciousness, pass this world on to the next generation as long as there are wars, injustices, violations of human rights and freedoms, poverty, hunger, inequality, and if people do not have the basic necessities of life, that we take as a normal part of our lives today in Central Europe, for example, but are not available at all elsewhere in the world.
Our Institute was founded from three organizations that were dedicated to different activities. Our large amount of activities doesn’t affect our efficiency or quality, because our working groups have experienced managers and skilled people in the different fields they are involved in. After our establishment we decided to expand our activities to Ukraine because of the ongoing war.
The founder’s family tradition and the urge to help are probably the reasons for the establishment of the Institute. The earliest family legend dates from World War II. The founder’s great-grandfather, Elias Chalachan, was a janitor at an elementary school in Snina, Slovakia, where he hid partisans during World War II.
The purpose of the IIDTC is:
To create projects and cooperation in the areas of Global Sustainable Development and Transformational Cooperation for the purpose of improving the quality of life, promoting democracy and human rights worldwide
To participate in the global alignment of the Human Development Index (HDI)
Implement the globally valid and recognised 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the UN General Assembly
Promoting democracy and contributing to the protection of human rights and freedoms; preventing conflicts at international, regional and local levels; reducing forced displacement and irregular migration; strengthening energy, cyber and climate security; strengthening the rule of law and other activities that affect public society
To work with national leaders, representatives of international organisations, national and regional administrations, non-profit organisations and authorities, as well as the public to promote and cooperate on projects with common objectives
Object of Activities:
Global Sustainable Development and Cooperation
a) Implementation of Projects and Programmes:
The Institute develops proposals, implements and monitors existing projects and programmes in the areas of global sustainable development, which include health care, respect for human rights, economic and social development, environmental protection, humanitarian and development initiatives, among others.
b) Partnerships and cooperation:
The Institute actively establishes and maintains partnerships with cities, counties, government agencies, international and non-profit organizations, and other non-governmental entities to strengthen external cooperation, share resources and expertise to achieve common goals.
c) Cooperation with the United Nations:
The Institute is engaged in the implementation of the globally valid and recognized 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the UN General Assembly.
Humanitarian and Development Aid
a) Provision of Emergency Assistance:
The Institute actively responds to humanitarian crises abroad by providing Emergency Assistance, including distribution and access to water and food, basic health care and shelter.
b) Improving Health Care:
The Institute supports Health Care abroad by funding or operating medical facilities, training and research on medical treatments in collaboration with experts and other organizations.
c) Support for training and development:
The Institute invests in Educational Programmes and Infrastructure in affected areas to promote the long-term development and Self-sustainability of communities, cities and towns.
Anti-corruption Activities
Analysis and Monitoring of Corruption:
The Institute Analyses and Monitors Corruption phenomena at the international level to raise awareness and promote Anti-corruption Action.
Animal Protection and Breeding
a) Assistance to Abandoned Animals:
The Institute promotes animal protection and provides financial and material assistance to animal shelters around the world.
b) Monitoring and Analysis of Animal Breeding:
The Institute promotes animal rights and dignified conditions for animal breeding. The Institute’s working teams are involved in monitoring and analysing the state of animal husbandry globally. The Institute is involved in highlighting serious crimes related to animal cruelty.
c) Training and Breeding of Service Dogs:
The Institute invests in the training and breeding of service dogs for rescue and security forces as a sideline activity. These dogs are provided to the army, police and other emergency services.
d) Operation of a Shelter for Abandoned and Abused Animals:
The Institute operates and develops a shelter for abandoned and abused animals, providing veterinary care and shelter for as long as necessary, permanently if necessary. The Institute also provides assistance and advice to animal owners.
Transformation Cooperation
a) Implementation of Projects and Programmes:
The Institute designs, implements and monitors projects and programmes in the field of Foreign Development Cooperation, which include Health Care, Human Rights, Economic and Social Development, Environmental Protection, Humanitarian and Development Initiatives and other areas of the Institute’s activities.
b) Promoting International Human Rights Mechanisms and Human Rights Mainstreaming:
The Institute actively engages in the protection of Human Rights and Freedoms through monitoring, reporting and public engagement with representatives of states, communities, international organizations and non-governmental organizations. The Institute monitors and emphasizes the implementation of commitments voluntarily made by states and monitors global compliance with Human Rights and Freedoms.
Peace Processes
a) Analysis and Monitoring of Global Crises:
The Institute analyses and monitors threats to peace among states. The Institute highlights international threats, crises and other threats to international peace and security. The Institute’s primary objective is to promote Peace Negotiations and World Peace.
b) Supporting diplomacy:
The Institute shall sponsor, support, or participate in efforts to establish a state of peace between hostile parties through diplomatic negotiations. The Institute shall sponsor diplomatic meetings.
Public Benefit Projects
a) Public Consultation, Suggestions and Initiatives:
The Institute seeks to improve the functioning of state governance and democratic institutions through public benefit projects and initiatives. The Institute creates public debates by all possible means, and collects and publishes proposals from citizens and experts on state reforms, improving the quality of life, the functioning and governance of states, and the transparency of state institutions. The Institute offers participation in all projects to the public and organizations.
b) Analytical and Project Activities:
The Institute, through its working teams, develops and publishes proposals for state reforms, improving the quality of life, the functioning and governance of states and the transparency of state institutions. In these projects, the working teams also independently and transparently assess the current state of state reforms and laws, the corruption situation and the living standards of the people in each state.
Organisation of Public Events
Public Events:
The Institute organizes Cultural Events and other Public Events such as Festivals, Exhibitions, Seminars, Talks, Lectures and Exchange Programmes which are in line with the purposes and activities of the Institute.
